Personal Throwback 2014: Country Music

Assalamualaikum.

Untuk personal throwback hari ni, saya nak cakap pasal "Country Music" ataupun muzik country. Apa tu Country Music?

1. Country music is a genre of American popular music that originated in Southern United States, in Atlanta, Georgia in the 1920s. It takes its roots from the southeastern genre of American folk music and Westernmusic.

Pada pendapat saya, country music ni banyak menggunakan gitar akustik dan sebutan setiap lirik tu lebih kepada sebutan orang2 Amerika di Texas dan sebagainya tapi tak semestinya orang Texas je boleh nyanyi lagu2 country dan sebutannya ala2 sebutan cowboy di bahagian barat Amerika. Kiranya country music ni agak klasik jugaklah.

Sejak tahun 2014, saya mula minat lagu2 country lepas dengar lagu 'The House That Built Me' nyanyian pemenang anugerah Country Music Awards, Miranda Lambert di Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Lepas tu saya minat pulak lagu2 dia lain contohnya White Liar dan Mama's Broken Heart.

Lepas tu pulak bekas pemenang American Idol dan bekas pemenang anugerah vokal terbaik Country Music Awards iaitu Carrie Underwood menjadi pilihan. Saya minat lagu2 nya contohnya Blown Away dan Before He Cheats. 

Tapi, kadang2 kalau sebut country music mesti ingat Taylor Swift. Tapi, rasanya Taylor ada satu je lagu country. Sekarang dah jadi artis pop pulak.

Siapa Carrie Underwood?

Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame as the winner of the fourth seasonof American Idol in 2005. Siapa Miranda Lambert?

Miranda Leigh Lambert-Shelton^[3] (born November 10, 1983^[1]) is an American country music artist who gained fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of Nashville Star, where she finished in third place and later signed toEpic Records. Lambert made her debut with the release of "Me and Charlie Talking", the first single from her 2005 debut album Kerosene. This album, which was certified Platinum in the United States, also produced the singles "Bring Me Down", "Kerosene", and "New Strings". All four singles were Top 40 hits on Billboard Hot Country Songs.

After Epic's Nashville division closed, Lambert was transferred to Columbia Records Nashville for her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was released in early 2007. Although the title track failed to make top 40, the next three singles ("Famous in a Small Town", "Gunpowder & Lead", and "More Like Her") were Top 20 hits, with "Gunpowder & Lead" becoming her first Top 10 country hit in July 2008. Her third album, Revolution, was released in September 2009. Five singles were released from the album, including two Number One hits: "The House That Built Me", which spent four weeks at the top; and "Heart Like Mine".
